World Space Week is the world’s largest space event. Thousands of events kick off globally on Thursday, October 4th, which inspire students and focuses on international space cooperation. In 2017 there was over 3700 events in 80 countries. This year they are hoping to break 4000! In Canada, there seems to only be 3 events listed so far.
Space selfies during World Space Week will be pictures taken of very large WSW events. There is 3-meter resolution satellites that take photos approximately 1000-1100 local time. There must be a temporary large structure visible from space formed by many people, cars, animals, tarps, blankets, etc. and should make an interesting shape like a word or symbol. The 2018 world space week theme of Space Unites the World!
